Can I lock the charging cable to my charger?
Yes. The function to permanently lock the charging cable to the charger is currently only supported by Zaptec and Easee. When the cable is locked, it remains secured to the charger and cannot be removed by other users.
Who can lock or unlock the cable?
All installations are administrator-controlled, but user access levels may vary:
Administrator: Always has the ability to lock or unlock the cable. This is typically the head of the housing association or the person within the housing association responsible for managing the charging system.
Individual users: In some installations, certain users may have been granted access to their own charger in the portal. These users can lock or unlock the cable themselves if the function is enabled.
Why do some users have access while others do not?
This is determined by the administrator. Some installations allow more user-level control for convenience, while others restrict access to ensure consistent operation and management.
What do I do if I want to lock the cable?
Check whether you have access to your charger in the portal. If not, contact the administrator (usually the board) for assistance. The administrator can enable and manage the function if your charger supports it.
