My charging cable is stuck, what can I do?
If the charging cable won’t release from the charger, this is often caused by an active charging session. Make sure the charging session has been stopped before attempting to remove the cable. You can stop the session through the app, with an RFID tag if that was used to start charging, or directly from the car. Some cars have a physical release button at the charging port, while others control this through the key or the vehicle menu.
What if the cable is still stuck?
If charging has been stopped and the cable is unplugged from the car but still cannot be removed from the charger, the locked cable function may be enabled. This mainly applies to Zaptec and Easee chargers, where the cable can be set to remain permanently attached. Access to change this setting is usually held by the site administrator, but in some installations the administrator may have granted the owner of the charger access as well. User permissions are always controlled by the administrator.
