Bård Mikkelsen is the new Chairman of Wattif EV

Mikkelsen has a long track record in Norwegian business and industry. His CV includes roles such as the CEO of Widerøe, the Ulstein Group and Statkraft AS, the largest renewable energy company in Europe.

In January Bård Mikkelsen stepped up as Chairman for Wattiv EV – a new Norwegian end-to-end provider of destination charging for electric and hybrid cars.

“For a startup, it is crucial to have an experienced chairman on board, who knows and dares to ask both the right and the difficult questions. A chairman of Bård’s caliber is important to build a solid foundation and secure progress.” says Robert Svendsen, CEO of Wattif EV.

Wattif EV is an end-to-end provider and a key enabler in the global shift to EV mobility. It is a Norwegian-founded company currently operating in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland and the UK. The company currently has around 70 associates and is growing fast.

“Our goal is to accelerate the electrification of the global car park by providing hassle-free access to the charging infrastructure, everywhere.” says Svendsen.

Mikkelsen has brought with him several highly experienced Board members, consisting of Stein Dale, Robert Welsvik, Willy Bergsvik, Bjørn-Erik Dale and Morten Rørvik.

“It is a great concept, but when it comes to the crunch, it’s all about the people making that idea a reality. You need competent people in both administration and on the Board, and build the company from the foundations up. Those are the main principles for Wattif EV. Everyone knows that the green route is the only route ahead.” Mikkelsen says.
